Harry Bruce, Ph.D., je profesorem a současným děkanem Informační školy na Washingtonské univerzitě. Ve výzkumu se zajímá o informační chování, vyhledávání informací, správu osobních informací a síťová informační prostředí. Je autorem mnoha publikací zaměřujících se na informační chování a informační vědu.

Rodák z Austrálie, Bruce má bakalářský titul z Macquarie University a mistra knihovnictví a doktorát na University of New South Wales. Před nástupem do UW, učil na University of Technology, Sydney. Jeho pole výzkumu je lidská informační chování, vyhledávání informací a používat i pro správu osobních informací v síťových informačních prostředích, včetně projektu National Science Foundation financovaného s názvem Vedení nalezené věci nalezeny.

Od 1.1. 2006 děkanem na UW.


Dr. Bruce výzkum byl financován National Science Foundation, Ústavu muzea a knihovnických služeb (IMLS), Státní knihovna ve Washingtonu, a australskou odboru zaměstnanosti vzdělávání a odborné přípravy.
