Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). Kromě vzdělávací profese se Sanda Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). Její výzkum je zaměřen na informační chování lidí, lidskou potřebu po informaci, vyhledávání informací, vztahy mezi počítačem a lidmi a hodnocení použitelnosti v online prostředí.
V komerční sféře se pak zabývala s příležitostným objevováním informací uživateli. Tento výzkum byl také podporován korporacemi a vládou (Dell. Inc., SBC Communication, Texas State Government and NSF).
Dále se Erdelez věnuje výzkumu spojenému s hledáním na internetu a použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Erdelez se významně podílí na výzkumné i pedagogické činnosti v oblasti informační vědy. Je velmi aktivní v mnoha různých oborových organizacích a časopisech, často publikuje tematické články a má za sebou řadu konferenčních příspěvků. Ve výzkumné oblasti je významnou badatelkou zaměřující svou pozornost na uživatele a jeho informační chování, na základě kterého se snaží nalézt vhodnou metodologii pro hodnocení použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). Erdelez se významně podílí na výzkumné i pedagogické činnosti v oblasti informační vědy. Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 se angažovala i v Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Sanda Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členkou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.
Její výzkum je zaměřen na informační chování lidí, lidskou potřebu po informaci, vyhledávání informací, vztahy mezi počítačem a lidmi a hodnocení použitelnosti v online prostředí.
V komerční sféře se pak zabývala s příležitostným objevováním informací uživateli. Tento výzkum byl také podporován korporacemi a vládou (Dell. Inc., SBC Communication, Texas State Government and NSF).
Dále se Erdelez věnuje výzkumu spojenému s hledáním na internetu a použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Erdelez se významně podílí na výzkumné i pedagogické činnosti v oblasti informační vědy. Je velmi aktivní v mnoha různých oborových organizacích a časopisech, často publikuje tematické články a má za sebou řadu konferenčních příspěvků. Ve výzkumné oblasti je významnou badatelkou zaměřující svou pozornost na uživatele a jeho informační chování, na základě kterého se snaží nalézt vhodnou metodologii pro hodnocení použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 se angažovala i v Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Sanda Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členkou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. V roce 1995 pak dosáhla titulu Ph.D. na Syracuse University v oblasti Information Transfer.

Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 se angažovala i v Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Sanda Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členkou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.
Její výzkum je zaměřen na informační chování lidí, lidskou potřebu po informaci, vyhledávání informací, vztahy mezi počítačem a lidmi a hodnocení použitelnosti v online prostředí.
V komerční sféře se pak zabývala s příležitostným objevováním informací uživateli. Tento výzkum byl také podporován korporacemi a vládou (Dell. Inc., SBC Communication, Texas State Government and NSF).
Dále se Erdelez věnuje výzkumu spojenému s hledáním na internetu a použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Erdelez se významně podílí na výzkumné i pedagogické činnosti v oblasti informační vědy. Je velmi aktivní v mnoha různých oborových organizacích a časopisech, často publikuje tematické články a má za sebou řadu konferenčních příspěvků. Ve výzkumné oblasti je významnou badatelkou zaměřující svou pozornost na uživatele a jeho informační chování, na základě kterého se snaží nalézt vhodnou metodologii pro hodnocení použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. V roce 1995 pak dosáhla titulu Ph.D. na Syracuse University v oblasti Information Transfer.

Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 se angažovala i v Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Sanda Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členkou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.
Její výzkum je zaměřen na informační chování lidí, lidskou potřebu po informaci, vyhledávání informací, vztahy mezi počítačem a lidmi a hodnocení použitelnosti v online prostředí.
V komerční sféře se pak zabývala s příležitostným objevováním informací uživateli. Tento výzkum byl také podporován korporacemi a vládou (Dell. Inc., SBC Communication, Texas State Government and NSF).
Dále se Erdelez věnuje výzkumu spojenému s hledáním na internetu a použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Erdelez se významně podílí na výzkumné i pedagogické činnosti v oblasti informační vědy. Je velmi aktivní v mnoha různých oborových organizacích a časopisech, často publikuje tematické články a má za sebou řadu konferenčních příspěvků. Ve výzkumné oblasti je významnou badatelkou zaměřující svou pozornost na uživatele a jeho informační chování, na základě kterého se snaží nalézt vhodnou metodologii pro hodnocení použitelnosti webových informačních systémů.

Článek Information encountering: It's more than just bumping into information se zabývá narážením na informace uživateli a zkušenostmi s tím spjatými. Autorka vychází z toho, že žijeme v prostředí, které je bohaté na informace a díky tomu je náhodné narážení na informace zcela běžným jevem, který nás může potkat v každodenních situacích, ale třeba i o nalezení nových informací, které se však k původně námi hledanému tématu vůbec nevztahují. Dále rozebírá elementy, ze kterých se toto narážení skládá a další možosti sběru informací. Uvádí praktické příklady možného využití informačního narážení a zamýšlí se i nad možnostmi dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. V roce 1995 pak dosáhla titulu Ph.D. na Syracuse University v oboru Information Transfer.

Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994). V roce 1994 odešla na The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako ředitelka Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.
