Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991. Poté pokračovala na School of Information Studies na Syracuse University v New Yorku (1992 - 1994).  V roce 1994 odešla na  The University of Texas v Austinu, kde setrvala až do roku 2001. Následně přesunula své pedagogické působení na School of Information Science and Learning Technologies na univerzitě v Missouri (2001- současnost), kde současně působila jako  ředitelka  Information Experience Laboratory (2003-2008). V letech 2010-2014 Missouri Informatics Institute.

Kromě vzdělávací profese se Erdelez aktivně zapojuje v řadě výzkumných projektů. V roce 2003 se stala zakládající ředitelkou  MU Information Experience Laboratory (IE Lab). Dále působí v v Library and Information Science Program a Special Interest Group on Information Seeking and Use (SIG USE). V roce 2015 se pak stala členou SIG USE Academy of Fellows.

Sanda Erdelez se narodila roku 1960. Vystudovala Gimnazija Sare Bertić Osijek, poté Pravni fakultet Osijek v Chorvatsku, kde získala bakalářský (1982) a magisterský (1986) titul z právní vědy. V roce 1995 pak dosáhla titulu Ph.D. na Syracuse University v oboru Information Transfer.

Profesní život

Pedagogická činnost

Erdelez začala svou pedagogickou kariéru již za magisterského studia, kdy pracovala jako pedagogický asistent na právní fakultě v Osijeku až do roku 1991.
