Profesor Howard Rosenbaum obdržel Ph.D. z Informačního přenosu na škole Informačních studií v Syracuské Univerzitě v roce 1996. Jeho výzkum se nyní soustředí na sociální informatiku, ebusiness a online komunity. Publikoval už v několika časopisech zabývajících se informační vědou a prezentoval své výzkumy na ASIS&T, iKonferencích a podobně. V roce 2005 vydal publikaci „Information Technologies in Human Contexts: Learning from Organizational and Social Informatics“ se Stevem Sawyerem a později i s Robem Klingem. V roce 2004 s Pninou Finchman publikoval Social Informatics: Past, Present, and Future. [1]
Vzdělání
Howard Rosenbaum studoval na Syracuské Univerzitě na sociologie, kde v roce 1976 úspěšně složil zkoušky a dostal titul Magistra. Dále pokračoval ve svém studiu na stejné univerzitě, avšak na fakultě informačních studií a oboru Informačního přenosu. V roce 1996 ukončil svá studia titulem PhD. se svou dizertační práci na téma: Manažeři a informace v organizacích: K strukturovanému konceptu prostředí pro využití informací manažerů. [2]
